Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in TV and film is well known for movies such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had been offered a variety of television roles including the lead role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Her fame was due to her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning beautiful diva. Alexandra is well-known for her involvement in many notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These projects included British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. Other roles she has held include being a jury member at each of the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
